EPIX and DigiTwinGreen projects organised webinar jointly on 12th February 2024 with the objective to promote European support actions for urban development and industrial innovation. Presentations provided practical examples of European support actions of industrial innovation with special focus on Industry 5.0 as well as green and digital transition of European economy.

Eva Balogh is graduated economist and she is expert of business planning for medium or small sized companies: mainly strategic and business development, visioning and strategy development, technology maturity assessment, business development. She has been working on funding lifecycle management, from mapping and identifying sources of funding, matching available opportunities, supporting the application for funding, financial engineering to the use of funding.

Adrienn Bokányi is the Councillor for Economic Affairs at the Municipality of Szombathely City with County Rights. In this capacity, she oversees the city's 10-year economic and urban development strategy (Szombathely2030), coordinates development projects on national and EU level, local cooperations, and foreign direct investments. She is dedicated to encouraging the creation of a resilient knowledge economy and fostering innovation ecosystems in Szombathely. In terms of education, Adrienn is an Economist in Business Development, completed a postgraduate specialist training in Digital Regional Development and is currently a Ph.D. student in Regional Sciences at Széchenyi István University’s Doctoral School of Regional- and Business Administration Sciences. Her main research area is the creation of a resilient urban knowledge economy.

Dr. Verónica Rodríguez, RIS Operation Manager at EIT Manufacturing whose mission is boosting the innovation capacity of RIS countries in the manufacturing sector by designing and implementing programs to support startups, SMEs and innovators; as well as by creating a valuable network and ecosystem with key stakeholders of the manufacturing sector to provide support and opportunities to solve the main challenges of the sector.

Martin Dan: Project manager at Pannon Business Network for 7 years. Experienced in managing and coordinating EU-projects in different programs (Interreg, CE, DTP, EIT Manufacturing, Horizon). Currently he is managing projects in the field of Industry 4.0 and 5.0, but he was also involved in international projects focusing on sustainable mobility.

Tamás Gyulai graduated as electrical engineer and he served as managing director of Regional Development Agency and, later, as CEO of the technology transfer centre of the university in Szeged. He works presently as cluster manager in Kecskemét, as smart city expert at Pannon Business Network in Szombathely and he is currently a Ph.D. student in Regional Sciences at Széchenyi István University’s Doctoral School of Regional- and Business Administration Sciences where his main research area is the application of digital twin concept in urban development.
